Julia vanDijck’s work is truly innovative. She graduated from the HKU in 2025 and stood out thanks to her confident self-portraits, combining new techniques (airbrush and oil paint) and fresh interpretations of classical poses. Her self portraits may come across as slightly intimidating, but in fact reveal a wonderful self-awareness. They are undoubtedly challenging to the viewer.
