Door Ruiten en Roeien
Newsletter Season start August 2025
SEIZOENSOPENING + UPCOMING

Invite
We warmly invite you to the launch of the cultural season: ‘Door Roeien en Ruiten’ featuring new works by J. de Konink and Cecilia Rebergen on Friday, August 29, 2025.
Joanna van Dorp, cultural all-rounder and former director of the Doornburgh country estate in Maarssen, will officially open the exhibition at 4:30 p.m.
This exhibition is an encounter between two artists, both known for their bold approach to creation. We have already seen Jenetta de Konink twice in the gallery. With exuberance, she paints compelling scenes. Now she presents her series ‘Ten Minutes’: large square canvases measuring 180 x 180 cm, exploring the relativity of time, particularly brief moments.
She finds a worthy counterpart in Cecilia Rebergen, who works sculpturally and experiments extensively. She enjoys wrestling with robust and unpredictable materials like metal and heavy textiles. This results in a dynamic interplay that leads to surprising outcomes.
In short: substantial art—yet a feast for the eyes!
'Door Roeien en Ruiten' runs until Sunday, September 28, and can be visited on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 12:00 to 17:30.
Visits on Thursdays are by appointment only: info@movinggallery.nl

New Website!
As announced in the previous newsletter—but we believe it’s worth reminding you: to make our website more active and effective for the gallery, we needed a new one. The Amsterdam-based NIMBBLE built us a beautiful, sleek site, and by now, it’s been filled with exhibitions up to and including June 2023, which already amounts to 17 exhibitions. A selection from earlier exhibitions (Nov 2018 / Dec 2022) will also be added.
