Paper Season at Moving Gallery
Fairs in Berlin & Amsterdam · A powerful extension · New works on screen and on the wall
Papier hier!
At Moving Gallery, we’ve had a love for works on paper from the start. Not only in our Works on Paper exhibitions, paper regularly features as a powerful, versatile medium in the art we show. It allows for wild expression as well as the most delicate pencil work. Its fragility and honesty resonate deeply.
That’s why, in the coming weeks, you’ll find us at two international art fairs dedicated to paper.
Plus: one extension, one announcement, and one hint.
1. We're heading to Berlin.

Just like in 2023, Moving Gallery will be at Paper Positions Berlin from April 25 to 28. This year, we’re showing works by Zaida Oenema, Sarah van der Pols, and French artist Alexandra Duprez.
The fair takes place in the heart of Berlin (Mitte), at the Deutsche Telekom Hauptstadtrepräsentanz, Französische Straße 33 a–c.
If you're in the area that week let us know, we’ve got free tickets for you! We're heading to Amsterdam
2. We're heading to Amsterdam!

From May 9 to 12, you’ll find us at Art on Paper in the Gashouder at Westergas, Amsterdam. This beautiful fair brings together 50 contemporary galleries and 16 art dealers, all focused solely on works on paper. Last year’s edition was outstanding and this one promises to be just as strong.
Moving Gallery will present work by Maeve van Klaveren, Salomé Roodenburg, Daan Rietbergen, and Joost Swarte.

3. Zwart op Wit extended!

Due to a packed schedule, including art fairs and the strong response to the show, we’ve decided to extend Zwart op Wit beyond April 21. The new closing date is Sunday, May 5.
This exhibition, rooted in graphic art, is minimal in color but rich in visual diversity. Come see a finely tuned mix of works by Guido de Boer, Max Kisman, Daan Rietbergen, Martijn Sandberg, and Breton artist Jean-Pierre Le Bars. And don’t miss the beautiful stop-motion animations by Rozemarijn Westerink in our video rooms.
Open Friday through Sunday, 12:00 to 5:30 PM.
Thursdays by appointment: info@movinggallery.nl
4. Upcoming in june: Paul Faassen

On Saturday, June 8, we open the solo exhibition of Paul Faassen. We’re excited to present this illustrator, known for his signature style and sharp, ironic takes on the spirit of the times seen weekly in de Volkskrant’s Saturday edition. With dry humor, Faassen holds up a mirror to our unconscious herd behavior in today’s restless world.
But his creative output stretches far beyond what fits in a newspaper or magazine...
5. In our video rooms: Rozemarijn Westerink

Rozemarijn Westerink created the stop-motion film Rêves en Ligne to mark 70 years of Ossip Zadkine’s The Destroyed City in Rotterdam, following an open call by the Dutch embassy and the Musée Zadkine. The 10-minute film was shown there, as well as at the Chabot Museum in Rotterdam.
It’s a contemporary reflection on Zadkine’s work about suffering in times of war, rebuilding after destruction, and the healing power of gardening, something Zadkine himself embraced in Paris.
A fragment of Rêves en Ligne, along with Westerink’s other short film Caresse (2:00), is now showing in Zwart op Wit. On view through May 5.
