Johan Kleinjan is an illustrator, but due to his highly extravagant and extremely colourful style, above all a true artist. His drawings frequently appear in national editions of newspapers and magazines, such as De Volkskrant, HP De Tijd, and VPRO Gids, usually drawn in ink and later coloured digitally. His personal work is created using coloured pencils, pastels, and anything else that comes in handy. figurative, exuberant and grim style, always original and intriguing in his exaggeration.
