KANTELING
29 Aug 2026
27 September 2026
An artist's career unfolds in phases. The pursuit of continuous renewal is essential to unlocking the potential within. This development may follow a gradual evolution, but it can also take shape through more radical stylistic shifts. When an artist, within a relatively short period of time, begins making work that differs significantly from what came before, we can speak of a turning point (kanteling in Dutch). In this exhibition, Daan Rietbergen, Zaida Oenema and Lenneke van der Goot present work that signals a new direction in their artistic practice. Whether these works prove to be transitional experiments or the beginning of a lasting new phase remains to be seen. The exhibition is opened on Saturday August 29 by Esther Didden, a philosopher in the cultural sector, who works for, among others, the BK-information foundation. She gave an introduction to the theme of this exhibition that was both beautiful and fascinating. You can read it again here.
